Kish Twit Pro – Wordpress Plugin For Twitter

Twitter is a very powerful tool and there are millions of internet users who are using this. 140 characters can do a lot, you can get in touch with your friends, celebrities and great people from your industry. Wordpress is the most widely used blogging tool and this product is my trial of integrating Wordpress and Twitter. Stay on your blog and use twitter to max. This very powerful tool has almost every feature with minimum possible click and time. This is my second project after the Kish Multi which is a tool to manage multiple blogs.

You can use this tool inside your admin login as well as you can open this to your visitors. You also have the option to open up to any visitor having a tweeter account or even you can open it only to your blog registered user. You can enable auto tweet when you publish a new blog post.

Manage your twitter account (multiple accounts feature available) from your Wordpress Blog. Twitter is a very powerful tool, but I bet a very less percentage of twitter user really use most of the power features of twitter. The reason could be the interface and the usability. With this tool you can access most of the twitter feature that too on a single page load. You can follow a person that you want to, view what others are talking about, conversations between two tweeps, etc. This tool is a Wordpress Plugin with simple installation. I have been working on this project for a month now. You need to wait for sometime to use it on your blog. One great feature of this plugin is that you will be using this as your own plugin. When you use tools like Twitee or any other twitter tool, the source of the tweet is shown as that tool name and a link is placed to that particular tool website, but now you can decide your application name and link to your own blog, isn’t that cool. How does this Twitter Tool Work?

Kish Twit Pro is designed to work in 3 modes. You can select the mode using the settings.

Only View Mode - In this mode, you do not allow any visitors to use your twitter page.
Login Via Twitter – In this mode any visitor with a valid twitter account can use your twitter page to access their twitter account. In this mode the user need not be a registered user of your Wordpress Blog
Only Registered users mode – In this Mode, your Wordpress Blog Registered users can use your twitter page. You can enable multiple twitter account access also by checking the save login details. Here the plugin does not save the username or password of the twitter, but uses the oauth authentication method.

Installation

Installation is very simple as a regular wordpress plugin. Chmod the cache folder to 777 for enabling cacheing.
Enabling location based search – If you would like to use the “People near you feature”, you need to download the Geocity.dat file and upload it to your /geoip folder.
Register your Twitter Application
After activating the Kish Twit Pro Plugin, you need to do the set up.

The above are the regular features available which you will find in most of the twitter clients. With Kish Twit Pro, you can find more that what you have seen on regular twitter clients. For every status updates, you will find information like “Info”, “Re-Tweet”, “Re-Tweet Information”, “Mark Fav”, “Reply”.

Info – You can find the full information of the person who has tweeted. Information includes almost everything you will need. You will also have access to some important information like the conversation, replies, relation. You can also send a DM or a reply from the profile information box

Online Demo – You can find this plugin working on the demo page. You can login and view all the features available. You can login to this tool using your twitter login. Your login information is not saved, instead you are taken to the twitter website and authenticated to use this service. If you want to manage more than one account at a time, then you have to register on this site and save your accounts.

I am not planning to release this plugin for free due to some reason which is really disappointing for developers who do a lot of work to develop such plugins are there are many thief who download the original source code and post it on their blog claiming the rights of the hard work.
