Google Audio Indexing for Youtube Videos

by Kishore on June 26, 2009

audio-indexing_logoGoogle has introduced a new technology called Gaudi, which is Google Audio Indexing. In this, the audio of the Youtube videos are indexed. The keywords in the Audio will be used to display the search results in Youtube videos.  Google uses the speech technology in this process and believes that they can provide better search results from the audio stored in the videos.
Currently this indexing is focused on election material and may be in future they may widen their focus.
Usually the search results from videos were depending on the title, category and tags assigned by the person uploading the video. The interesting point in this search is that the search result will take you to the particular point of the video where the keyword is found.
This speech recognition search will surely be a boost to video marketing. People who do more video posts will be benefited more with this process.
