Adobe AIR Application to Manage Multiple Wordpress Blogs

by Kishore on July 9, 2009

image I just started off with Adobe AIR this week. I wrote my first test application with AIR SDK for PAP, which is just a test application to get the touch and feel of this tool. I am in a process of developing a standalone application somewhat like the Windows Live Writer to manage my blogs.

I am trying to implement the following

  1. Register your blogs
  2. Get Information about individual blogs
  3. Get information about the pending comments sorted by date for all the registered blog
  4. Avoid plugin installation to any of the blogs to access and update the Data
  5. Moderate posts
  6. Get notifications for new comments

These are few tasks to start off. I will be releasing this application when I reach my first beta version. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

As someone who manages multiple WordPress blogs, this sounds like an exciting (and challenging to code!) project. I’m no programmer, but I’ll be following you on Twitter (@kchjr) and would love to help with early testing and bug detection once you have a working AIR application.
