Shameful attitude from CM Of Kerala to Major Sandeep’s Father’s Reaction

by Kishore on December 2, 2008

image Chief Minister of Kerala is in big trouble. Chief Minister of Kerala and Home Minister went to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s home in Bangalore to show their condolence after the opposition party in Kerala accused the Government to have shown disrespect to a Kerala Born by not sending any minister for the funeral. Major Sandeep who was killed in the Terrorist Attack in Mumbai during the commando operation at Taj Hotel Mumbai.

When the CM V.S Achuthanandan reached Maj Sandeep’s house, he was not allowed to get into the house by Sandeep’s Father as he was very much upset for many reasons. One could be he lost his only son and nobody from the Kerala Government had come for the Funeral. Being a Chief Minister of State which has highest number of literate people in India, we cannot accept a comment like this from him. He has to show the qualities of leader and not behave like a illiterate or a irresponsible person. He has to show his maturity and understand the feelings of a father who lost his only son.

Chief Minister Of Kerala – Sandeep Unnikrishnan

I can understand that its an insult for the Chief Minister, but being a politician and leader, he does not have any right to insult or react in a way he has done. He told that if it was not Sandeep’s House, not even a dog will go there. He should understand that , if he was not the Chief Minister of Kerala, not even a dog would have taken this as a issue. His reaction as really insulted the father of a person who has given his life for the country and he has no right to say this being the Chief Minister of Kerala. As a Keralite I feel really shameful to read newspaper headlines, TV channels with the shameless behaviour by the Chief Minister of Kerala. Pittiest thing is the he does not regret for such a comment and is not ready to apologize. CPM General Secretary Prakash Karat has apologized for the statement done by Kerala CM

Its high time for the Chief Minister of Kerala Mr V.S. Achunathan to quit politics and sit at home and avoid such situation.
