Today is the last day for the Campaign for the Presidential Polls in Maldives. This is a much awaited historical event for Maldives as this is the first ever multi-party elections in Maldives.
In the first round of elections none of the candidates got more than 51% votes, so this has gone to a Run Off elections. The candidates for the Run-Off Elections are Existing President, Gayoom from DRP and Mohammed Nashid (Anni) of MDP. In the last elections results where showing President Gayoom as the most popular candidate and Anni as the second one. Hopefully the results should be out by the afternoon of 29th October.
