Roti

We can make roti or chapatti adding by ghee or butter which is really very tasty but now I am very much fond of roti without any oil, ghee, or butter. It is good for those who are very cautious about their health. Roti is very healthy since wheat is rich in fiber.

Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour – 5 tbsp (heaped)
  • Luke warm water – 1/4 cup (60 ml)
  • Salt to taste
  • Wheat flour – 1 tbsp for dusting

Method of Preparation:

  • Mix salt and wheat flour together well
  • Add water and make dough and knead well for another 5 to 10 mins using your palm
  • Divide the dough into 4 equal balls, cover and keep aside for 10-15 mins
  • Roll out each ball into thin roti of circular shapes using a rolling pin, by dusting flour and try to roll only one side of the roti
  • Heat tava and roast roti, once the small bubbles forms on the roti, turn to the other side and repeat the same
  • Remove tava from stove and put roti into the fire (burner) until it bubbles like puri and repeat the same with the other side
  • Shift the roti to a kitchen towel or to casserole

Serve it hot with any side dish of your choice
