Today I could notice some changes in the Pagerank of some of my websites. I never expected an update so soon, but an update was smelling as there were lots of changes in SERPs for the past one week. The last update was in October.

This is strange, Theres no big out cry from webmasters about the update, but just a few taking about change. Not on page on my site has changed and I have tons more links than in September and Matt said that the updates would go back to 3 or 4 months after the September update!!!

One of my blog pagerank going down, from 3 to 0.
Jose – Now the PR Standards have been changed and its very difficult to get a higher pagerank. Many websites had lost PR in the last update. I had some small changes in PR
-Robert – You are right, the changes are seen only on some websites, the Algorithm of Pagerank is being changed. This is not a major update
Brandon – Just having backlinks will not boost your PR. There are lots of factors that are taken into consideration for PR. The age of the backlink, the category of the page from where you have a link, the number of out going links on the page from where you have go the backlink, etc
I think that could be the main reason, because the age of the backlink is also very important these days as Google is trying its best to fight buying and selling of links and they give credit only to natural links
