India’s first rural BPO in Karnataka

Karnataka government has opened a BPO centre in this historical town near Mysore, claiming to be the first ever rural BPO centre in the country. Through opening such BPO centres, which would provide a host of utility services across the state, the government was planning to create one lakh jobs over the next five years, Karnataka Minister for IT-BT Katta Subramanya Naidu said.
