Good hand hygiene starts with washing with soap (non-antimicrobial) and water..But when washing with soap and water isn’t convenient, the US Centers For Disease Control, along with counterparts in Canada, UK and other EU countries recommend using an appropriate hand sanitizer. With that said, Legacy, alcohol-based hand sanitizer gels are under fire for being flammable, toxic, ineffective on dirty hands, and are infamous for causing the skin to become dry/irritated–which in turn can lead to infection.. Which is why many experts are migrating to alcohol free hand sanitizer products. Popular brands in the US and Canada include “Soapopular”, which is available in leading retail and pharmacy stores, and online at http://www.soapopular-usa.com
