Even though people talk about recession, we see a good number of resorts being renovated and many new resorts coming up in Maldives. Maldives is known to be a very safe destination for tourists. Tourism in Maldives has been effected due to the Global recession, but we see some resorts still being fully booked.
Right now I am sitting at a beach of a resort which is nearing completion and is expected to open next month (Centara Grand). This resorts looks to be very promising with beautiful beaches, water villas, spa and almost everything that a guest will be happy with.
Its very much a good experience to see the project work going on. We can learn how much of effort is put to create resort. Hats off to the project team who work day and night to complete the project in time. In Maldives, every product needs to be imported and transported to the site which would be an island far away from the port. Sea transportation is excellent in Maldives and we can see things well organized.
Hopefully the tourism in Maldives will reach its peak during this year end and the new resorts in Maldives will do well
