Constance Halaveli Resort in Maldives

by Kishore on April 12, 2009

Just reached Constance Halaveli Resort in Maldives. This resort is not fully functional now. The pre-opening for Asian guests is during the end of April 2009 and it will be full fledged operational by June 2009. We just got into our rooms. Its again a totally different resort. I have stayed in about 30 resorts in Maldives but this is again a totally new concept. We were given the Villa No 1, its a double storied Villa. The entrance to the top floor is from inside itself. Full size picture from out side the villa at Constance Maldives

Constance Halaveli was know as Halaveli resort previously. Now its going to re-open as a totally new resort by the Constance Hotels of Mauritius.

hi kishore,
My husband and I make trips to Maldives every year, trying out different resorts. This year, we are planning a trip there in July. We are thinking of trying out Constance Halaveli.
What’s your personal opinion about the resort. Is it true that we have to take both the seaplane and the speedboat to reach there.

Looking forward to hearing fm you soon.

Zathiah – Its a beutiful resort. When we went, we had to take a boat, but I think now they should be having a direct flight. Enjoy your vacations

Hi KishoreI would be very happy to get some more information about this resort from first hand. May I kindly ask you to answer me a few questions, if possible?-I have heard that snorkeling isn’t very good at the house reef of Halaveli, almost no corals and fish. Have you been snorkeling at the house reef and can you say something about it? I know they offer snorkeling excursions but as they are quite expensive this isn’t an everyday option…-Is it correct that snorkeling equipment is available for every guest free of charge? And is this equipment of good quality?-Can you say something about cost for drinks at Halaveli, for example the price of 1 large bottle of Water? What about the price range for cocktails and wine?-What kind of tea and coffee making facilities do they offer in the rooms?Thank you in advance for answers and have a great day!Rafael

Rafael – I have not gone for snorkelling at Halaveli. I had been there for some official work, but I am sure, its one of the best resort here.
