Interesting action by the Government to reduce the number of foreigners working in Maldives. Don’t find it sensible or a solution to un-employment. Either the officials responsible to make new laws are not knowing the facts or its just an excuse to get some money to the Government treasury.
As part of a small business company, I would be very interested to know from where exactly we can find Maldivians wanting to undertake jobs as labourers. Either the government is delusional or it just doesn’t give a damn about the small- to medium-sized businesses in this country.
How many Maldivians are interested to work in the construction site if they are paid double the salary what is paid to a foreigner?
Hope the Government act to make things better than ending up in a mess.
