Search Engine
Search engines are the best and free traffic source, but for this you need to create pages with proper title and Search engine optimized pages and your pages needs to be indexed by search engines like google. You can find some SEO tips for Wordpress here
Subscriptions
Create a subscription box on your webpage so that your visitors can subscribe to your posts by email or RSS feeds
Sign-up for an account with services like Getresponse so that you can send periodical news letters to your regular visitors
Email Signatures
Create an attactive email signature and attach it your emails that you send regularly. You can even create signatures in forum posts and keep posting good replies and quiries at different forums and blogs
Forums
Post some information about your website and pages on different forums
Social Networking
Participate in different social networking and bookmarking sites like Digg, StumbleUpon, etc
Commenting on others blog
Keep visiting and commenting on different blogs which are related to your blog.
Replying to the comments on your blog
Make sure that you reply to the comments on your blog and create a direct relation with your visitors
Write interesting and unique pages
This is a very important point, your posts should be clear, interesting and explainatory so that your visitors are forced to visit your blog often and read the latest posts
Regular Updates
Post atleast 5 new pages every week so that when ever a visitor comes to your website or blog, they find something new

If you have a budget for advertisement, you can advertise using programs like Google Adwords

Technorati is as good as google for searching blogs.

@Nagarajan, you need to keep working hard, Traffic is something which will take some time. You should also go for some paid advertising services like Google adwords or private ads. I use Digg and Stumbleupon, it gives good traffic but conversion rate is very low
Pretty good tips. Social bookmarking traffic is difficult to convert. You can also try traffic exchange programs to give your blog a start.
