I have been experimenting on Google Adsense earnings rate and tricks to increase the CTR (Click Through Rate) in Google Adsense. I recently installed a SEO linking plugin which generates links in the content for tags, category and keywords. This is good when we look into SEO point of view, but when we look into earning point of view as far as any PPC program is concerned. This plugin created a number of links and these links were more clicked than the ads. My CTR dropped downed considerable reducing my Google Adsense income.
I don’t advice to stop inserting links on your blog as I consider internal linking one of the best way to increase the page views and time spend on the site. Interlinking is very important SEO point of view and to get all the page indexed by the search engines. Too many links can reduce the chances of the visitor clicking on your ads. This is purely on my experience and may vary from user to user.
