Digg is one of the best source of traffic spike (Not best money maker for Adsense) if you get on to the front page. Getting to the front page for a normal blogger is something near to impossible. I used to Digg my own articles, but I did not find anything useful from doing that.
Its not found ethical to Digg our own content, usually it needs to be dugg by our readers. I don’t see any chance of a great post being dugg if its visitors do not know what Digg is. If you have a potential Digg user as your regular reader, you would probably have some chance to get your post submitted to Digg. I see most of the bloggers have either get help from their friends to get their post submitted to Digg and once submitted, there are chances to get more votes and get some traffic. The reason for not encouraging to Digg their own content could be to discourage spamming.

I could also learn that Digg does not work completely ethical. There are many people offering Paid Digging Services and it does not work fully the way it has to work. Every service is misused by a group of people to make money. Like we see selling and buying of Links (Paid Links) which is against Google’s TOS still happens even though Google penalizes such acts
To conclude, I do not feel we need to be much worried about getting our pages digged, but need to concentrate on writing the best content. One important thing we need to note is that Digg Traffic is not worth for Adsense users. I feel its just boosts up your page view and the bounce rate of Digg Traffic is very high.
