Google Adsense is the most used advertising program by blog publishers. I very often get emails from novice bloggers who want to use Google Adsense but are either unable to get their account approved or they are not able to reach their minimum payout amount of US$100. Some even email me when they get their Google Adsense account banned.
Creating a new Google Adsense account
Signing up for a Google Adsense account is simple, just use your Google Account to sign-up for Google Adsense and wait for your application to be approved. Recently I have found that they are bit strict in approving Adsense accounts. Your blog should be at least 6 months old, have unique content, etc. So be sure that you mention a blog URL which belongs to you and is having good content, decent traffic. Don’t submit URL for blogs that do not have traffic or new blogs. You may be even asked to prove that the domain belongs to you if you have a different address mentioned than the one you have used to register your domain.
Making money from Google Adsense
Google adsense pays for clicks and not for impressions, so your visitor needs to click on the ads for you to get paid. To increase your CTR (Click Through Rate) you need place the adsense ads on right place. For me above and below the article works good, but again depends on your blog theme. Let me tell you something, there are no secrets to make US$500 per day from Google Adsense, the only way is to have more traffic to earn from Google Adsense. Unless you have good traffic you cannot earn from Google adsense.

Making money with Adsense it’s becoming harder and harder. Couple of years ago, Adsense program was really hot
Nowdays, affiliate earnings are much more rewarding. More and more publishers go into CPA networks everyday. Adsense is paying penny per clicks .. Too bad .. I actually enjoyed it while it lasted.
