Google Adsense is the most popular advertising program for both publishers and advertisers. Usually Google Adsense shows ads which are related to the content of the page. This is something very much different from other advertising program. Recently Google Adsense announced that they will be serving interest based ads which is something interesting and I feel that the CTR (Click Through Rate) will surely increase.
Increase CTR through Interest based Ads
How will the CTR increase with interest based ads? The answer is simple. Let me first explain you in layman language. Interest based ads will be ads which will be interesting to you blog visitors. Suppose a visitor is more interested in Internet marketing, he will be served ads related to Internet Marketing. How will this happen? How will Google Adsense know a particular visitor is interested in Internet Marketing? Simple, Google will be using cookies to track the kind of websites or searches done by that particular visitor and serve ads related to that. That’s the reason Google had told to update your privacy policy.
Its good to have interest based ads as we should notice increase in CTR and which should finally reflect on the earnings. Lets hope for the best.

I’m using adsense to make money on my blog, but I’m also trying my luck in affiliate marketing, it seems though it really works out well. Although I still have to learn more about increasing your CTR rate.
