Give time for your blog to grow
Blogging is not something which can give your fame or traffic instantly. It takes time to get your contribution recognized and get loyal visitors and impressive stats. I see many novice bloggers expecting results from day one which is not possible. You might have seen ads tell you that you make thousand of dollars in no time, but those are blunders. Every successful blogger has take lot of time to establish themselves and build their brand. So don’t give up, keep working hard, spend time without expecting results for at least 3-6 months, you will find results which could motivate you more.
Write something unique or select an uncommon topic
Topic of your blog has big importance for the success of your blog. Writing on topics which are very much in common will really take time. Even if you write on popular topics, you should write something unique on that particular topic. There should be some reason for a reader to stick to your blog or subscribe to your blog. Writing something which has been written by 100’s of other bloggers or sharing some information which is already known to the world will not really impress your reader.

Very important, go for a domain registration with a name which has some resemblance with the topic that you are going to write about. Depending on free blogging services like Blogger, WordPress may make you regret as there are lots of restrictions. Its also important because it helps you in building your brand and more of flexibility.

Very important, be sure that you have good knowledge on the topic that your blog is about. Don’t start a blog on topic which you don’t much about. When you use Adsense as your blog earning method, some topics or keywords are highly paid. Its not advisable to go for such topic for the reason that you can make more money if your blog is on that particular topic with high paid keyword values. This may help you in temporary earnings, but for a long run you may run out of content or you may have to get content from other to keep your blog running which is not a fair practice. Anyway you can do this if you decide to hire somebody to write for you, but that’s not our intention to start a blog.
Consistent Update of your blog
Its very important to keep your blog with fresh content and this needs to be done periodically. We see some blogs dead for more than a month and all of a sudden the blog get new article for few days and then it stops. This is not good for the health of a blog both technically and personally. Technically because I have noticed that when I used to update my blog everyday, I found Google indexing my posts instantly or within minutes, but due to some reasons, I did not post for few weeks and then I started posting again. I found that my posts were not indexed as it was done before. Personally because, your reader or a direct visitor who types your Blog URL or comes in from his browser bookmark finds nothing new when he expects a post everyday as you were doing will get disappointed and may not come as he was doing. I do not say that you have to do a post everyday, but do it in a consistent manner. Suppose you post twice a week, then do it twice a week because your posting frequency will be understood by your regular reader and will not be disappointed as he know that you will do a new post only twice a week.
Build trust with your loyal readers
Loyal readers are the biggest assets for your blog, so its important to keep up with their expectation. Answer to their quires and comments. Deliver what you promise to them. Loyal readers can link to your blog, add them as favorite, submit to social networking sites or suggest your blog to his blog or his social friends.
Importance of Title for your blog post
Its very important that you have a good title for your post. Even if you are sharing great or rare information, you should have the best title. Your title should give a brief idea of what you are writing on that particular post. I prefer to have a bit lengthy title than a two word title. Titles are very important in reader point of view and SEO point of view, so be careful and spend some time to decide the title of the blog post.

There is nothing wrong to express your thoughts. You may be wrong, but when you blog, you get to know the right things from your readers who could come up with more information. Writing controversial blog posts have always gained attention on the web and this helps in the growth of your blog. We should always keep in mind that we should not use our blog to insult others or hurt others feelings.

Give some time for your blog to grow, don’t worry much about the stats and earnings for at least 6 months, be consistent, you can make it.
