How much time do you spend for marketing your blog posts?

Its very important that you spend sufficient time on your own blog, read your posts and do the necessary optimization. You also need to study the user interface, navigation, design and optimize your blog design and performance.

Its also very important that you need to spend more time on other sources of information to know what’s going on around the world with latest updates. Sources like Google news, social networking sites helps you in improving the status of your online presence.

Marketing your posts

You may be good at writing killer articles, but what is the use, when there are less people to read. Search engines does the work automatically if your blog is optimized well for search engines and has a top posting on SERPs which does not come very easily. Its very important that you spend some time on marketing your posts. There are many ways to get traffic to your posts like twitter, stumbleupon, other bookmarking sites, newsletters, etc. If you spend 1 hour a day in writing new posts, you should spend at least 2 hours a day on other sites promoting your posts. This would be very important when you have less traffic and / or your have a new blog which has a less visibility. Once you have considerable loyal visitors, this work will be taken over by them automatically.

If you are not active on Social Networking Portals like Twitter, Facebook or some top forums of your niche, then you are on a wrong path. Spend some time building contacts and take their help to promote your products, blog posts and increase your traffic. This is a very much acceptable and proven method by top blogging gurus and there is nothing wrong in following this path.

I usually use twitter and facebook but I do not see much traffic, twitter give me some traffic
