Every blogger wants to increase the number of readers, page views. There are many methods to increase your blog traffic and bring in new readers. One of the most ethical and accepted method is commenting on other blogs. Usually a comment form has four fields to be filled.
- Name
- Email ID
- Website URL
- Comment Text
Write your name or your blog Title in the name field, your email ID, Website URL and a debatable comment. Its very important that your comment should be noticed and the readers should feel to click on your name find out who you are. Just don’t comment like “Good Post”, “I liked this Post”, etc. You should write a comment which should grab the attention of the comment readers.
Track your visitors
Use tools like Google Analytics to tract your visitors. You should check which blog is giving you more traffic. You will be surprised that you can get a good number of readers by commenting on others blog, but its very important that your comment should grab other readers attention.

- Other than getting traffic from commenting on other blog, I see some blogs using plugins like “Top Commentators” with rel = do follow tag or not using rel=nofollow tag. Some blogs use dofollow tag even with the comment links. Links without rel=nofollow will also help you in building backlinks.
- I have also see some blogs publishing the latest post URL along with the comment, which is another bonus and chance to post your blog post links on such blogs.
- Build your brand and popularizing your blog.
- Getting friendly with other like minded bloggers is another advantage of commenting on others blog. You can get to know other bloggers who comment on common blogs. You may even comment on other comments or some readers may even comment on your comments
Commenting on other blogs of your topic is one of the best method to build a strong network. Don’t be shy to comment and let others know your thoughts. Its a good ethical practice to get into discuscussion with other bloggers.
