Google Adsense is the most popular money making tool for a home jobs seekers with blogs. Google Adsense works well for some blogs and some may not. I have been using Google Adsense for some time now and have been experimenting different things. Recently I was studying about blending the ad colors and displaying ads with contrast color.
What is blending the ad color and what is contrast ad color? Blending Google Adsense ad colors are like generating ad codes with the colors of links similar to your blog links and text color. You can now select fonts and color for your Adsense ads, so you can make it look very similar to your blog links. What happens when you do this? Some novice internet users or people who are not much aware of Google Adsense ads may click those ads thinking that those are the links connected your blog. Google Adsense users are very unlikely to click on their own ads. Our point is to generate clicks and improve the Adsense CTR for more earnings.
Recently, I thought of displaying Google adsense ads with contrast colors keeping it very clear with proper spacing around the ads making it look very clear. This will be showing the ads as totally a different subject. I have been checking around different forum and go mixed response regarding this concept. Some find that keeping ads blended gives them a better CTR and some feel keeping it with a contrast color works well for them.
As far as I am concerned, I find my Adsense CTR improving a bit after I changed from blended color to contrast colors. There could me other factors that could have influenced my CTR. I will need some time to finally conclude on this topic
What do you feel about this concept? Have you ever tried this out?

hi Kishore,
personally i have tried contrast ads and flopped terribly, my CTR drop like 80% and thus have switched back to blended ads which somehow adjusted my CTR back to normal.
Probably i might have make some mistakes in contrast ads and shall experiment with it again in the future. For now, i am sticking with blended ads.
I have written a post on blending ads and it is located at http://nick-lee.me/2009/06/google-adsense-money-tips-1-blending-ads-tips/
Probably you might want to take a look as well.
Could you and others who have tested this theory post what niche did or didn’t work you. Thanks,Rob
Very great article. I have never tried contrasting my ads, although I’ve heard that ads BELOW the fold should be contrasted. I might have to try this someday.
Great post! Some sites find success with contrasting ad colors, though most consider the blended color ads to be the best performing ads. Spend some time figuring out what works best with Google’s AdSense Channels, and then test, test, test. Average CTR’s are about 3%. Adsense channels may just help you beat the odds!
