Google notebook will not be available after some time as Google is closing down that service. You can backup the Google Notebook and import to ubernote which is again a free service. Just sign-up for a free account and import your Google notes to your account. I feel ubernote service is the best alternative for Google Notebook and I am sure there are many like me who were using Google Notebook and need a perfect substitute.
With Ubernote, you can add notes, clips, etc. You can add notes using the firefox extension, email or you can even update from your iPhone. You can also share the notes, tag your notes, search, etc and keep notes private also. It is very simple to use

I love the article and have great things to say about Evernote. They really make it easy to keep track of different notes from different devices.
