I don’t think it is a chicken fry, but cannot be included in chilly chicken also. Whatever be the name, all who tasted it said excellent. So you also try and tell me how it is turned out…
Ingredients:
- Chicken – 1/2 kg (boneless)
- Butter – 50 gms
- Ginger – 2” piece
- Green chilly – 4-5 nos
- Big Onion – 2 nos
- Curry leaves – handful (chopped)
- Tomato ketchup – 1 tbsp
- Dark soya sauce – 1 tsp
- Coconut slivers – 3 tbsp
Marinade:
- Chilly powder – 2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method of Preparation:
Cut chicken into small pieces (1/4”), wash and strain
Marinate chicken for 2 hours
Melt butter in a wide pan, fry finely chopped ginger and green chilly
Add finely chopped onion, coconut slivers and curry leaves, until onion becomes transparent
Stir in chicken and cook over medium heat, keep on stirring
Add Tomato ketchup and soya sauce when the chicken is done well
Keep stirring until chicken pieces become dry
Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves
Serve it hot with rice of your choice
