When you hear the name chat itself, i know it is mouth watering but my preparation of chat doesn’t have the usual taste. I adjusted the flavors according to our taste buds since the original one is too spicy for us. Try this, you will enjoy this preparation also.
Ingredients:
- Boiled potato – 2 big, cubed
- Chana boiled – 2 cups
- Cauliflower blanched – 2 cups (florets)
- Green bell pepper – 2 no’s, (seeds removed and cubed)
- Onion – 3 big, cubed
- Tomato – 4 big (seeds removed and cubed)
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Chilly powder – 2 tsp (preferably kashmiri chilly)
- Amchoor (dried mango powder) – 1 tsp
- Chat masala – 1 tsp
- Lemon – 2, diced
- Coriander leaves – handful, chopped
- Salt to taste
Method of preparation:
- Heat oil in a wide pan and saute onion, green bell pepper, tomato with a pinch of salt and turmeric
- stir in boiled potato, chana and cauliflower and saute for 2-3 mins
- Remove from stove and add all the rest of the powders and toss
- Garnish with lime pieces and chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Serve it with Roti, naan, or with anything of your choice
It is an ideal combination for the welcome drink for any type of get together.
