Ingredients:
- Cabbage – 1 cup, finely chopped
- Onion – handful, coarsely crushed
- Coconut grated – 1/2 cup
- Green chilly – 3 no’s, crushed
- Garlic – 5-6 flakes, crushed
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coconut oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Uradu dhal or Bengal gram – 1 tsp
- Curry leaves – 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method of Preparation:
- Rub coconut grated with turmeric powder, red chilly powder, crushed garlic, cumin seeds with a pinch of salt and curry leaves, keep aside
- Heat oil in a wide pan, add Uradu dhal or Bengal gram and let it brown in color and add mustard seeds
- Stir in coconut mixture when mustard seeds start crackle
- Stir in cabbage with salt to taste and sauté well until it is dry enough
Serve it rice or roti of your choice
