There has been always problem in getting tickets to travel to Trivandrum during peak seasons. There is only one flight operating from Male’ to Trivandrum. Other options are travelling via Colombo, but the fares are very high and sometime you may need to waste a lot of time to get the connecting flight from Colombo. There are also flights from Male’ to Bangalore

Bad news is that , they have not yet confirmed any date for starting the new service. Today I got information from some reliable sources that this may be postponed this service to the next season.
I tried for a ticket to Trivandrum through Indian Airlines IC 964, but no chance for the next one month. Its really pitty that we need to plan our travel months before and its not possible for people like me. Finally I had to go to Sri Lankan Airlines and I got the ticket for the date I wanted without any hassle.
Pitty that this service was canceled by Island Aviation of Maldives has started as service from Male’ Trivandrum Male’ which has given a bit of relief to the passengers. They are using a small flight right now, thats a 50 seater plane but I head that the service is good
